Job Purpose: The design, prototyping, selection and integration of various components used to implement complex telecommunications systems, business applications, or networking products

The System Engineering group designs and integrates communication platforms for the High Availability (five 9s) Critical Communication market. The group is now seeking a candidate to play a leading role in the networking side of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, document and maintain designs at a system level that meet applicable standards
  • Contribute to system architecture design and assist with product prototyping
  • Recommend solutions to technical problems and unique situation
  • Conduct detailed analysis of defined system specifications
  • Define system specifications and qualification tests
  • Selection, qualification and process integration of 3rd party equipment
  • Integration testing of complex features and third party product
  • Write procedures and provide support to operations group
  • Provide support and documentation to product verification group
  • Provide support and documentation to customer service group
  • Provide training over newly integrated components
  • Escalation point for technical field issues
  • May be asked to travel to customer site


  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Networking fields or equivalent
  • Strong self-starter, initiative, reacts quickly to emergencies
  • Great communication skills written and verbal
  • Team player
  • PTCP/IP Network configuration and design experience
  • Networking equipment (switches, routers, firewall, SBC)
  • Working knowledge of current computer / server architecture and components
  • Debugging tools
  • Asterisk, legacy PBXs, SIP and VoIP
  • Scripting (DOS, Bash shell, LUA…)
  • Linux (RH and variants)
  • Language: French, English

  • Cisco Network certification
  • Legacy Digital and analog telecommunication protocols (ISDN, CAS, SS7)
  • Network Security
  • Virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of recording and statistic software
  • Telecommunication, telephony and NENA Standards


  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
