Solacom Guardian 9-1-1 Solution Now Compatible With Text Control Center (TCC) from West Corporation

Public safety answering points (PSAPs) using TCC services from West can now integrate text-to-911 capabilities using Solacom Guardian Text solution

CHICAGO, Ill., May 15, 2018 — Public safety answering points (PSAPs) using Text Control Center (TCC) services from West can now move to integrate fully enabled text-to-911 capabilities at all call taker desktops with Solacom’s Guardian Text solution. Solacom and West have completed testing and confirmed that Guardian Text and the West TCC are fully compatible.

With Solacom’s Guardian Text and West’s TCC, PSAPs can now receive and respond to emergency service requests using text messages.

West’s TCC provides a messaging gateway, routing services, and a communications interface for emergency service requests sent via Short Message Service (SMS) text message to 9-1-1. The TCC is able to simultaneously process, route, and track emergency text dialogues for multiple text-to-911 customers.

Solacom’s Guardian Text seamlessly integrates with Solacom’s Guardian 9-1-1 Call Handling solution right at the call taker’s desktop, offers outbound text-from-911 capabilities, and enables call takers to reconnect with disconnected or abandoned callers via text.
